It is recently noticed that there is a fraudulent phone number, 852 - 8172 1035, claiming that it is an account enquiry hotline of Bank SinoPac Hong Kong Branch. This fraudulent number conducts an inquiry by call-flow through a Voice Respond Unit, misleading that the caller has already opened an account with Bank SinoPac Hong Kong Branch with a certain account balance, in order to carry on further fraudulent action.

Bank SinoPac Hong Kong Branch hereby confirms that the above-mentioned hotline does not belong to the bank. Our Hong Kong Branch Customer Services Hotline number is 852 - 2907 6968. For any enquiry above this notice, please contact our Customer Services Hotline.

Notice of Hong Kong 5-Day Clearing and Business Week

Hong Kong banking industry will implement a 5-Day Clearing Week (“5DCW”) with effect from September 4, 2006. There will be no clearing and settlement for all currencies among the banks in Hong Kong on Saturday.
In line with this change, the business hours of Bank Sinopac Hong Kong Branch will change as follows, with effect from September 16, 2006.
Monday to Friday: Normal Business Hour
Services will not be available on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays
With effect from September 4, 2006, the 5DCW will result in the following changes,
1.Cheque Deposit and Clearing：
(1)Cut-off time for cheque deposits made on Fridays will be extended to 4:30pm
(2)No cheque deposit services available on Saturday
(3)Fund available time after implementation of 5DCW：
2.Fixed Deposit：
(1)For an existing time deposit that will mature on a Saturday after September 4, 2006, the maturity date will be deferred automatically to the next business day.
(2)With effective from September 4, 2006, time deposit instruction received on a Saturday will be processed on next business day.
3.Remittance：
After implementation of 5DCW on September 4, 2006, there will be no services provided by Clearing House Automated Transfer System on Saturday. Thus, the bank will not accept remittance services instruction on Saturday.
4.Loan Services：
For an existing loan that will become due on a Saturday after September 4, 2006, the due date will be deferred automatically to the next business day.
